Traditional Devon cider hand crafted on our farm in Sampford Courtenay. We are quite rare amongst cider makers in that we make our cider using only the apples grown in our own orchards. Solland Farm has a long history of apple growing and cider making with the "new" cider house being built in 1878. Although they aren't thought of as a Devon variety Bramley's Seedling apples were first planted at Solland in the 1870's and one of those original surviving trees is thought to be one of the oldest Bramley trees growing anywhere in the country; We also have traditional Devon cider apple varieties like Ellis Bitters, Dabinette, Michelin and Fair Maid of Devon all of which contribute to the unique character of our ciders.
As well as buying our cider on line, you can visit our farm shop and join in one of our cider and orchard tours.
